Program Requirements

Take UNST 1410: Democracy and Public Service (one-credit, can be taken in the fall or spring) during your second-year or semester of entry if a transfer student.

Submit a written reflection each semester starting in your second-year or semester of entry if a transfer student.
The Public Service Pathways Program serves as a catalyst for your commitment to public service while a student at the University of Virginia. Successful completion of the Public Service Pathways Program culminates in an official transcript designation as Presidential Public Service Scholar upon graduation and instills a lifelong dedication to the pursuit of flourishing communities as an engaged and responsible citizen-leader.
