MOVE: Volunteer Translators Supporting Our Community

The Multilingual Outreach Volunteer Effort (MOVE) helps bridge language gaps in the Charlottesville community. Volunteers translate and interpret for local non-profits and UVA units, assisting those with limited English and digital resources. Join us to use your language skills for a great cause, helping others access critical information while supporting multilingualism at UVA. If you can speak or write in another language, we invite you to join MOVE!

Become a Part of Something Greater with Venture Mentors

As a Mentor with LearnServe International, you have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of student changemakers across the DMV area! Over the course of a 6-month school year, you will provide invaluable guidance, support, and mentorship to students by helping them develop entrepreneurial vision and leadership skills needed to tackle social challenges both locally and globally!

Opportunities:

Sort Food on Sundays

Bread Across Borders is an all-volunteers organization that started in 2020 during the lockdown with the delivery model - of distributing bread to different families. It has grown to include produce, eggs, meats, etc. We take the boxes directly to families and they take the food and distribute the items within their own communities.
