Call for Volunteers - Join us for the Connect Cville Fashion & Music Festival: 

We hope you're doing well and are brimming with creativity. We are excited to extend a special invitation to you to be part of the upcoming Connect CVille—an event that promises to celebrate style, innovation, and the artistry of fashion. Located at the IX Art Park on September 16, 2023, from 1 PM to 10 PM.

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, the Annual Westhaven Community Day will be held on Hardy Drive in Charlottesville.

Greenbrier Drive

The Nature Conservancy is hosting our Monthly Watershed Cleanup at Meadow Creek on Tuesday, November 21st from 1:00pm-3:00pm. We will remove plastic bottles, cans, and other debris, preventing the trash from reaching the nation’s largest estuary, the Chesapeake Bay. Trash pickers, bags, and gloves will be provided.

Charlottesville City Schools

Harvest of the Month is a monthly program where we prepare and serve taste tests of a locally sourced produce to students in the Charlottesville City School system. Harvest of the month is aimed to encourage health and food security through exposure to fresh, healthy, and local foods. Youth, families, schools and community partners are introduced to a locally available crop each month with a backpack flier, recipe, and nutritional information. 

Apply to Blueprint, UVA's premier leadership development program to meet and work with like-minded first- and second-years with high leadership potential. This program is designed for students who have an interest in creating a project with their peers that will improve the UVA and Charlottesville community. As a Mentor with LearnServe International, you have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of student changemakers across the DMV area! Over the course of a 6-month school year, you will provide invaluable guidance, support, and mentorship to students by helping them develop entrepreneurial vision and leadership skills needed to tackle social challenges both locally and globally!

Project Horseshoe Farm is a nonprofit with service sites in Alabama and California. I am reaching out to you to share an exciting gap year opportunity for students interested in improving the health of underserved communities through direct service.

Join the VISAS (Volunteers with International Students, Staff, and Scholars) program to support English language learners in the UVA community! Volunteers are paired with members of UVA's international community to engage in meaningful conversations, improve English proficiency, and explore cultural exchange. Whether you're helping with one-on-one language sessions or facilitating group discussions, your involvement will make a significant impact. No prior experience is required—just a passion for learning and sharing cultures.
