Education
The Education Pathway examines the myriad of ways that learning inside and outside of schools promotes the public good, including preparing people to participate in democracy, equitable access to enriching learning environments, and expanded possibilities for individual and collective flourishing. This pursuit of an effective education system seeks to ensure that all individuals, regardless of background, have equal opportunities in society, including shaping what that society looks like and how it functions. In the pursuit of this ideal education system as well as other opportunities for enrichment, the education pathway brings a wide range of expertise from across the University to bear on these fundamental challenges, including experts in social and behavioral sciences and the humanities.
The first step in beginning your pathway is signing up for the Education Newsletter. If you are a First Year student, this is completed during the pathway selection process after subscribing to the general Pathways Newsletter. Second Year students can subscribe directly to Pathways-specific newsletters using the same form. Our team will send an email right to your inbox every other week detailing all Education related events happening around grounds. This newsletter will be your primary connection to our curated opportunities. Through these events, you can build connections in the field, gain experience, develop knowledge about key current events, and meet peers, faculty, and alumni interested in public service.
