Virginia Commonwealth University
PALS Programs is a national nonprofit hosting week-long residential summer camp programs on college and university campuses across the country. Our programs pair Partners with Down syndrome 1-1 with Peer volunteers, who share a dorm room together throughout the week and participate in a variety of on- and off-campus activities and trips. PALS Virginia will be held June 25th- July 1st at Virginia Commonwealth University, and we are recruiting Peer participants age 18+ to join us! Once on-sight there is no cost for peers to attend and PALS will offer travel assistance to anyone who needs it. Up to 100 hours of volunteer service can be earned through serving a week with us! Our Peers take their PALS experience with them in their personal and professional lives, often joining us for many summers. Applications to apply to be a peer will open on January 1st- however you can add your name to the interest list by heading to www.palsprograms.org/joinus.
Any questions can be directed to Lauren at support@palsprograms.org. We hope to see you at camp!
