Sarah Kirk (ENGR ‘25) is a fourth year Systems Engineering student with a minor in the Batten School of Public Policy. Throughout her time at UVA, she has engaged with volunteer activity at the Charlottesville Animal Shelter, Camp Holiday Trails, the Charlottesville Children's Museum, and through her work on the Student Council Sustainability Agency. Currently, Sarah is serving as the Secretary in charge of meeting minutes and communication for Trigon Engineering Society. In Spring 2023, Sarah joined UVA SEAS’ Policy Internship Program to study at the intersection of Science, Technology, and Public Policy; that summer, she interned in Washington DC for ten weeks at the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) supporting their Division of Research, Innovation, and Ventures. For Summer 2024, Sarah is interning in Washington DC at Alvarez & Marsal in their Public Sector Services division. She is looking forwards to serving, for her second year, on the Public Service Pathways’ Student Advisory Council. In her free time, Sarah can be found reading, exploring Grounds, and meeting up with friends.
