The student organizations listed here are involved in service through local, national, and international community service activities, fundraising, and activism. Students self-select the public service category through the student organization registration process, and staff assign this category to administrative organizations.

T.A.N.G.L.E.S at UVA

The purpose of this organization is to promote self-acceptance of one's own beauty and to provide information and support for African and African American women and their hair care. In addition this organization will work with adolescent females in the Charlottesville community by promoting self-acceptance and appreciation for natural beauty.

Tabs on Cancer

Tabs on Cancer collects can pull tabs to raise money for the Pull Tabs for Charity Foundation and the National Cancer Institute. All you have to do is save your can pull tabs. We collect them and recycle them and the recycling center gives us money for the aluminum, which we in turn give to Pull Tabs for Charity and the National Cancer Institute.

Tau Beta Sigma

Tau Beta Sigma is a National Honorary Band Sorority that provides service to collegiate bands, encourages the advancement of women in the band profession, and promotes and enriches an appreciation of band music through recognition, leadership development, and education of its members.

Teach For America
