Students self-select the public service category through the student organization registration process, and staff assign this category to administrative organizations.

Pancakes for Parkinson's

Pancakes for Parkinson's is an annual pancake breakfast hosted by UVA students. Our main goal is to serve those suffering from Parkinson's and their families by fundraising for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. We hope to provide an event where UVA students and the Charlottesville community can come together to eat pancakes in the spirit of service!

Passionately Unite Respect Serve Understand Initiate Together

PURSUIT is a free, non-partisan conference that creates seeks to raise student activism both around grounds and beyond life at the University. We want to raise student unity around these tough social issues in hopes of solutions in the near future, therefore driving productivity, proactive behavior, and a well-informed society.

Pause 4 Paws

This organization will spread awareness with regards to animal welfare. This includes human dependency on and exploitation of animals for food, clothing, entertainment, scientific research, and as pets.

Peanuts and Crackerjacks

The mission of Peanuts and Crackerjacks is to provide underprivileged Charlottesville children with strong positive relationships through the American past-time of baseball. Post-Conviction Assistance Project

We assist prisoners with post-conviction issues such as appeals, writs of habeas corpus, complaints against the prison administration, and clemency, among other things. We do not help with issues regarding claims of innocence. All law students are welcome to join.

PROJECT FUTURES at UVA

This organization aims to contribute to the eradication of sex trafficking, specifically of young women and girls, using fundraising towards global organizations formed for this purpose, including PROJECT FUTURES (Australia), the Somaly Mam Foundation (US), and AFESIP (France). Protect Our Planet Non-Profit Organization Worldwide

POP-NOW aims to increase knowledge and recognition of global warming. The organization utilizes the resources of the college environment in order to combine entertainment with information; exciting events are encouraged as a means for social enlightenment and useful fundraising. All POP-NOW proceeds are remitted directly to The Alliance for Climate Protection.
