The student organizations listed here are involved in service through local, national, and international community service activities, fundraising, and activism. Students self-select the public service category through the student organization registration process, and staff assign this category to administrative organizations.
Machik Chapter at University of Virginia
We are a university chapter of Machik. Machik is a national non-profit organization which supports initiatives that advance innovative and solution-oriented approaches to the challenges of community revitalization and sustainability for people on the Tibetan Plateau.
Madison House
Madison House is a non-profit organization, which provides approximately 3,000 students with regular volunteer opportunities at over 90 sites in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. Madison House serves as an umbrella organization for 19 programs. Run by over 200 student program directors, each of these programs is unique in its mission and in its role in the community.

ManiCURE for Muscular Dystrophy
Aside from buying supplies, 100% of the money MMD raises goes directly to MMDC. This objective of MMDC is to raise money for children with Muscular Dystrophy. Every year, the Muscular Dystrophy Association has a free one-week-long camp in Wakefield Richmond to give the kids an opportunity to blend in with others who have a similar disabilities.
