Help Outside Dogs

Dog reaching out of doghouse to kiss volunteer
August 27, 2022 to December 31, 2022

Volunteer once or multiple times as we help improve the lives of dogs who are kept outside. We are looking for help on field days, as well as selling drink tickets during events at the Ting Pavilion.

Field day volunteers will travel with us to different homes, typically on a Saturday. We offer free sturdy dog houses; fill the dog houses with straw for warmth in cooler months; clean up poop, brush, and debris; and discuss proper dog care with the owners. We help any animal (cats, goats, chickens, etc) on the property that needs care, not just dogs. You will see sad situations, but you will also greatly improve the lives of the animals you meet. Field day volunteers will come home covered in dirt and dog kisses. (Bonuses: You'll get a workout, learn your way around the area, and instantly become a part of our dog-loving family!)

Working at the Ting Pavilion is a great fundraiser for us. Volunteers who sell drink tickets at Ting will need to be at least 21. You'll get to catch some great acts and have fun meeting new people. This is a perfect opportunity for those who want to help outside dogs, but aren't up for a field day.
