Be the face of the museum! The Virginia Discovery Museum is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work at our front desk 2.5-3 hours each week! We have availabilities Monday-Friday, and we are open 9:30am-5pm. You will be the first person welcoming families into our space, and we will provide training in operation of the Front Desk computer’s point of sale system. Other skills needed are the ability to lightly multitask, answer and relay phone calls, and most importantly to socialize with and help visitors of all ages and backgrounds. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, form relationships with VDM members, and share your Cville knowledge with out-of-towners! Other benefits include free parking and admission passes, and the option to do your own thing (read, knit, etc.) at the desk during our slower hours. Vaccination against COVID is required.
